This Side of Perfect: Laundry

I have a confession to make: I am terrible at keeping up on laundry. Terrible. I have a schedule and it has worked for me for the past couple of years. Everybody knows the schedule. Even the kiddos have it memorized. But as of late, the only time I recognize that I need to do laundry is when The Man Beast starts looking for clothes. Even then, I'll usually get to so far as to wash and dry them. Rarely are they folded and they are hardly ever put away.

I could make a million and one excuses as to why I'm so terrible at
keeping tabs on my laundry. Work. School. Scouts. Laziness. (Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner!)

With school officially being over, I can't use work as an excuse any longer. Scouts are winding down as well. School? Well, that really doesn't take all day long to complete, now does it? NO.

So, I need to knuckle down on my laundry this summer. Today, I made wonderful progress. I put away the folded clothes that had made residence on my love seat for the past week. I went one step further and ironed all of our clothes before they got put on hangers.

Come tomorrow morning, I guarantee TMB will bellow from the bedroom, "Where are my clothes?" To which I can proudly respond, "Put away."

Until next time...

Today is the first Official Day of Summer for the kiddos and myself. And how I ended back on my Blogger blog is quite an interesting story.

I order as much stuff as I can online. One of the sites I visit freqently is ebates. I was actually trying to book a hotel room through ebates and could not get the page to load. I hopped on over the Facebook where I posted about my problem on their fan site.

Within minutes (as customary of Facebook "traffic"), I received a response. I was told that I needed to change something in my registry. The gentleman was nice enough to post a FAQ link to the ebates website in order to help me fix the problem on my own.

Unfortunately, when I did a search for "hosts", all I got as a result were a bunch of emails and this blog post. I clicked on it out of morbid curiosity. What was I writing about three years ago before school and work and life in general took an unexpected turn?

Turns out, I had a moment of spiritual clarity. Who knew?

After I read what I had written, I started playing around the the new-to-me-blogger and what I discovered was that I really liked what I saw.

So, I did a little bit of clean up, revamped the design a little bit and here I am!

Hopefully, with my summers somewhat free (more on that later), I'll be able to get back to blogging! And hopefully, I will begin to see my blogging skills develop into something greater than just an online diary.

Until next time...
